Big Reds, Calm Seas, and Quick Limits Highlight Biloxi’s Red Snapper Season fishing report coverpicture

June 19, 2025

Biloxi Bay - Harrison, MS Inshore Report on 19th Jun, 2025

Red snapper season is in full swing off the Biloxi coast, and the Gulf is delivering big-time. Anglers heading out to artificial reefs, rigs, and hard-bottom spots in federal and state waters are finding plenty of action, with both quantity and quality fish coming over the rail. Most boats are seeing steady limits within the first few hours of fishing. Snapper in the 10–15 lb range are common, with some trophy-class fish pushing past 20 lbs being caught around deeper structure. Live bait like hardtails and pinfish are producing best results, but frozen cigar minnows and squid are also doing the job when dropped near the structure. The key right now is getting out early and anchoring or drifting over less-pressured spots. With clear water and calm conditions most mornings, it's been easier to find active fish and keep them around the boat. Chumming helps keep the bite going once a school is located. Be sure to double-check size and bag limits, and if you're venturing into federal waters, make sure you're properly registered and reporting catches. This year's red snapper season is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory—now's the time to get out there.
